“Hormonal” is a comedic exploration of the functionality of the different chemicals within the human body. Each character in the film and their personality is based upon a specific human hormone. The film is centred around the idea that no singular “hormone”, or single mindset, can achieve overall success when they work alone. However, unity and balance between the hormones, or teamwork between a group of people allows them to succeed and achieve far greater than they would have done alone.

The theme was addressed through the character Adrenaline, which the film is based around. It expresses the importance of the hormone to the overall function of a person, and the chaos of missing one of the body’s most prominent chemicals.
