Celebrity Skits

Cinematography & Video Editing

For this project, I focused primarily on location scouting, cinematography and colour grading to match my footage up with the clips from the movie. The goal was to make it as seamless and believable as possible.

From a cinematography stand point, this meant stepping into the cinematographers shoes to shoot in a way that felt intentional. The goal was for the final product to feel as though it was shot by one cohesive mind. This included:

  • Shooting over the correct shoulder and aligning eye contact in dialogue scenes.

  • Selecting an appropriate focal length, aperture and shutter speed.

  • Matching the direction, intensity and diffusion of the lighting.

Colour grading was another essential tool in this project that really helped sell the effect. This included matching the:

  • black point

  • saturation

  • noise/film grain

  • temperature
